Once again the Royal Academy of Engineering are supporting BEP schools to promote events and activities during Tomorrow's Engineers Week. This year the RAEng have awarded 10 schools funding of up to £150 for a wide range of activities including data loggers for Furness Academy, Techcard Structure Kits for Burlington Academy, a Lego City Workshop for Victoria Academy and an Engineers Board for Reception and Nursery classes at Newbarns - Proving it's never too early to start an interest in STEM!
We are looking forward to seeing pupils across Furness getting enthusiastic about engineering and STEM on 6-10 November. Please use #TEWeek17 to share your success and don't forget to tweet @FESP_BEP & @EduRAEng.
Tomorrow’s Engineers Week 6-10 November 2017
Tomorrow’s Engineers Week (#TEWeek17) is designed to help address the fact that 186,000 people with engineering skills will be needed annually through to 2024. This year focuses on engineers on a mission to make the world a better place. We’ve got some great stories of engineers using their skills to solve some of the world’s biggest issues. We’d love as many people as possible to join in with the campaign by sharing content, creating their own story about an #EngineerOnAMission or hosting an event to showcase the amazing work of engineers. Toolkits and social media templates are available and the Tomorrow’s Engineers website has lots of inspirational case studies. Join the #TEWeek17 Thunderclap to help launch the Week on social media and use the hashtag to link in with what’s going on.
