This Christmas had an exciting opportunity for Barrow Engineering Project schools to design the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Christmas card for 2018. The card will be distributed to 2,500 of the Academy’s Fellows, contacts within industry and other charity’s as well as Ministers and others within Government.
Pupils were asked to choose from three engineering Christmas briefs that included an alternative sleigh, present wrapping machines and robot reindeer.
This year our 10 BEP primaries were given the opportunity to take part in the competition with 4 schools submitting final entries.
The winning school will receive a class set of the printed Christmas card so that each pupil in the class of the winning design can give a Christmas card to their parents/carers. The class will also receive a personalised Christmas card RAEng President, Dame Ann Dowling.
Today the winner was announced as Edward from Newbarns Primary School with his idea for a present wrapping machine! Well done Edward!
